Founded in 1949, Nitto Tires is a Japanese tire manufacturing company with headquarters in the United States. Although Nitto initially developed automotive parts for the Japanese market, the company shifted gears towards providing products for the North American market. In 1979, Toyo Tires acquired Nitto and since then the company has been headquartered in the United States.
