Hankook Tire & Technology group, simply known as Hankook Tire, is a South Korean tire company based in Seoul, South Korea. Founded by Cho Hong Jai in 1941, Hankook was Korea's first tire company. The company was originally named Chosun Tire Company but changed its name to Hankook (which translate to Korea) Tire in 1968. Since its conception, Hankook has evolved into an international tire manufacturer with facilities in the United States, Indonesia, Hungary, and more. Hankook produces roughly 102 million tires each year as well as producing Original Equipment (OE) for a wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
