Continental, otherwise known as Continental AG or Conti, is a German multinational automotive parts manufacturer founded in 1871. Headquartered in Hanover, Germany, Continental is the world's fourth largest auto part manufacturer with a wide range of products. This company initially started out at a rubber manufacturer and in 1989, Continental began developing vehicle tires with a plain tread. Since Continental's first innovation, the company has developed many major products such as the first grooved vehicles tires, detachable wheel tires, bicycle tires and more. In 1987, Continental entered the North American tire industry. Continental prides itself on its focus on mobility, cost-effectiveness and environmental consciousness.
