Dunlop Tires

Dunlop Tires is an Irish tire manufacturer founded in 1890 by pneumatic tire pioneer John Boyd Dunlop and operated by Goodyear. Dunlop's first racing victory was in 1889 and since then the company has established itself as a worthy contender on the track and on the street. The company was split into a joint venture between Sumitomo and Goodyear in 1999, in which Sumitomo was to manufacture Dunlop Japanese tires and Goodyear would manufacture 75% of European and North American tires for Sumitomo. With over 131 years in the industry, Dunlop has evolved into an international conglomerate with branches in India, Japan, China, Africa, and more.
